The Master Class in singing technique and repertoire with Rachel Bersier consists of individual singing lessons and optional repertoire sessions.

Individual singing lessons of approximately 30 min. each include generally:

  • for advanced students, a technical element (20 min. app) and work on repertoire (10 min.)
  • for beginners it concentrates mainly on technical work.
  • there will be 10 lessons per day.

Repertoire sessions of 20 min. are scheduled at the end of each teaching day as an optional complement to the individual singing lessons, they can only be booked with at least one singing technique lesson.

Rachel Bersier will teach how to apply the principles of functional voice training to specific pieces of repertoire chosen by the pupil, which

  • must be sung by heart
  • the text must be fully understood if it is in a foreign language

Important: All active participants are encouraged to listen to the singing lessons and repertoire sessions of other pupils. The principles of Functional Voice Training are explained as specific vocal issues arise during a lesson. Passive auditors will be allowed during the entire duration of the Master Class.
